Kotoko needs a foreign coach- Jeffery Asare

Ace sports journalist and managing editor of Sportscrusader.com, Jeffery Asare has called on the Board and Management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko to go for a foreign coach if they think Didi Dramani has lost his magic touch.

Even though Jeffery Asare has called on the board and management of the reds to be wary of the decision they take on Didi Dramani, he thinks that the right choice for Kotoko now should be a ‘top-notch’ foreign coach if it becomes necessary for Didi to go.

Speaking exclusively to Sportscrusader.com, Jeffery Asare said, “Didi Dramani is not a bad coach. I think he is currently having challenges and that the management must be a little patient and talk to the supporters to calm down. But if it becomes so critical that Didi must go, then the best option for the club now is a ‘top-notch’ foreign coach”.

“Look, Didi is currently the best coach in Ghana and that must say something to us. So at the end of the day, if you part ways with the best coach in Ghana who has won the league twice as well as the FA Cup, then you have to look for a better option and that must be outside Ghana. So for me, if it becomes necessary that Didi must go, then Kotoko will have no option than to go beyond the borders of Ghana to get a coach”, he added.

Jeffery Asare is currently the Communications Adviser to Asamoah Gyan’s Baby Jet Foundation as well as a boxing pundit for Supersport.
