Kotoko loses appeal on Osei Boateng

The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has upheld the decision of the Disciplinary Committee to suspend goalkeeper Osei Boateng of Kumasi Asante Kotoko for one year.

Information gathered from the secretariat of the GFA by the GNA Sports revealed that the Appeals Committee, after its sitting on Tuesday, April 1 ruled against a clemency for Boateng.

Following this, the Kotoko keeper who was suspended by the Disciplinary committee for one year after he had physically assaulted a player of Power FC in league match during the 2002 soccer season, would now be inactive for the 2003 soccer season.

Kotoko lodged an appeal against the decision of the committee to enable Osei to feature in Last year's African Cup Winners Cup final match against WAC of Morocco.
