Kotoko increase winning bonuses for new season

General Manager of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Opoku Nti has revealed the management of the club has reviewed the winning bonuses for the players for the upcoming 2015/16 Ghana premier league season.

Kotoko who ended the 2014/15 season in a disappointing second place after winning the league back-to-back will look to open their account for the new season with a statement of intent when the Reds travel to Sogakope to face WAFA in their first game of the season.

The porcupine warriors tagged as the richest football club in Ghana hope to reclaim the trophy they lost to regional rivals, Obuas Ashantigold SC and the management led by former player of the club, Opoku Nti nicknamed, Lord Zico see the increment as a way of motivating the players to up their game especially after been given the favourite tag to win the league.

Lord Zico in an interview with Kumasi based Boss fm, said, “as management we have reviewed the winning bonuses of the players and I can confidently say we have increased it. The increment is for both home and away games and in addition to the teams preparation will serve as a form of motivation.”
“The winning bonus for home wins is perked at Ghc400 and Ghc600 for away games and as promised we will deliver immediately paying out to the players the agreed sums’, he added.
