Kotoko hold Wikki Tourists

Nigeria's Wikki Tourists held Asante Kotoko of Ghana to a 2-2 draw in the Confederation Cup on Saturday. The home side had to wait until the 42nd minute before taking the lead through Rabiu Baita in the first leg, second round game in Bauchi.

The Ghanaians drew level six minutes after the interval as Daniel Nii Adjei took advantage of a defensive slip up.

Veteran striker Emmanuel Osei Kuffuor put the visitors in front on 70 minutes with a strike from the edge of the box.

Abubakar Babale brought the home side back on level terms with only five minutes remaining as Wikki Tourists produced a late surge.

Kotoko now have the upper hand ahead of the second leg to be played in Kumasi in a fortnight.

Meanwhile, Ivorian side Issia Wazi beat US Masseda of Togo 2-0 in another Confederation Cup game in Abidjan on Saturday.
