Fans of Kumasi Asante Kotoko are calling for the return of striker Ahmed Toure, according to report from Kumasi.

Toure was released by Kotoko prior to the start of the season after failing to join the team’s preseason training exercise.

The 27-year-old who is currently unattached was reported to have gone AWOL after returning from a short loan spell at Lebanese Club Nejmeh.

Reports from Kumasi however indicate that fans of the club are calling for the return of the Burkinabe international following the team’s inability to score goals this season.

The former EL Guona striker finished last season as the Club’s top scorer scoring 11 goals in the Ghana Premier League.

Strikers Obed Owusu and Dauda Mohammed have been unable to get the goals for the Porcupine Warriors this season which has prompted supporters to plead for his return.
