Kotoko face Medeama in top liner

Asante Kotoko will seek to boost their title ambitions in a mid-week clash against Medeama in Kumasi.

Fresh from their one-all draw with bitterest rivals, Hearts of Oak in the ‘Super Clash’ at the weekend, the Porcupine Warriors will be eying a return to winning ways at the expense of their guests to keep the chase on leaders Berekum Chelsea, just a point richer in the Week 25 encounter.

Medeama haven led the table for more than four months surrendered the top spot after a 1-2 loss to Liberty Professionals at home. The ‘Yellow and Mauve's’ are aware of the consequences of a successive loss towards their goal of winning the league.

At the Baba Yara Stadium, it could be a mountain too tall for the visitors to climb especially after Kotoko beat them at their backyard in the reverse fixture last year.

Victory for Kotoko will put them in a good stead for the top spot as leaders Berekum Chelsea have a tricky test against Tema Youth at the Golden City Park.

Tema Youth are engulfed in relegation and a defeat will take them closer to the door out of the top flight.

At the Len Clay Stadium, AshantiGold is favoured to send Heart of Lions back to their base empty. The Miners have improved the last three games, and are clearly ahead of the Kpando lads, who have managed just a point from their last three outings.

Dwarfs will welcome King Faisal to the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape Coast whilst Liberty Professionals engage Berekum Arsenals at the Sly Tetteh Stadium, Dansoman.

Hearts of Oak is expected to pick the maximum points off Real Tamale United (RTU) at the latter’s backyard in Tamale where as All Stars and Edubiase slug it out at the Wa Park.

On Thursday, Amidaus Professionals will be at home to Aduana Stars at the Tema Park.
