Kotoko could miss Bansey for Edubiase test

Asante Kotoko striker Seidu Bansey is doubtful for their weekend tie against New Edubiase United after twisting his ankle at training.

The 23-year-old suffered the injury during training on Thursday and has not been able to train since.

Kotoko medics tried to work around the clock to get the striker available for their crucial home in the regional derby, but he looks likely to be ruled out.

Bansey shot up his reputation in the Ghana Premier League after scoring a cracking finish for the Porcupine Warriors in their slim 1-0 win over Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Michael Helegbe is also likely to miss the game as he will have to pass a late fitness test to be available for the clash.
