Kotoko circle 14 elects officers

Mr Kwesi Buakoh, a 50- year- old Tarkwa businessman was last Saturday elected chairman of "circle 14" of the Asante Kotoko Supporters Union at Tarkwa.

He polled 80 votes to beat Mr Nicholas Puodom, a small-scale miner at Tarkwa who had 45 votes and Nana Kwesi Agyeiku, a 33-year-old mechanical gas engineer who had 11 votes.

In an acceptance speech, Mr Buakoh said he would serve the Circle to the best of his ability to make Asante Kotoko Football club the best side in the country.

He asked members to co-operate with him to enable him unite supporters of Asante Kotoko in the area.

Mr Kwame Dapaah-Afrifa, a patron of the Circle, advised Mr Buakoh to be patient, humble and listen to suggestions and opinion of the rank and file.

He asked the members to accord Mr Buakoh respect and pay their dues to ensure smooth running of the union.
