Head coach of AshantiGold, Bashiru Hayford, says Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s current squad can’t stand against his team.

“This current Kotoko team can never stand against AshantiGold, let alone beat us,” the ex- Kotoko trainer said confidently.

He added: “The AshantiGold team is by far better than Kotoko and there is no way they can beat us.”

Coach Bashiru Hayford was addressing journalists after he led the miners to a historic 2-0 victory over Kotoko on Sunday.

The elated trainer recounted several victories AshantiGold had chalked over Kotoko in recent times, including the win in the Top 4 tournament.

Coach Bashiru Hayford said it would take time before Kotoko could beat AshantiGold.

“If Kotoko can beat AshantiGold then it would be later on and not now,” the coach stressed, adding that he boasts of a winsome squad.

Coach Bashiru Hayford had worked tirelessly to develop the Ashangold into a fearsome team within a short time.

He had guided the miners to record impressive victories in preparation for the Ghana league which had been delayed due to court issues.
