Kotoko Still Africa's 3rd Best Club

Two-time African Club Champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko enter the 2003 soccer season with much recognition on the African continent as they have managed to hold on to their previous position as Africa's third best club in the annual CAF club ranking.

The Porcupine Warriors, who lost the African Cup Winners trophy last year to Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco, ended the year with 37 points trailing behind two Egyptian clubs occupying the first and second positions.

Champions League holders Zamalek, narrowed the gap with an additional five points boost to end the year with 43 points taking the second spot. The five points were secured from their 2002 Champions league win.
