Kotoko Player In Sex Scandal

KUMASI ASANTE Kotoko star player, Prince Boateng, is reported to be on the radar of the police for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old primary six school pupil in Kumasi.

In February this year, the soccer star, who lives in the same neighbourhood with the girl, reportedly went to a drinking spot operated by the victim's mother at Asafo Neoplan station in Kumasi at around 9.00pm and bought two 'tots' each of Herb Afrik and Madingo beverages.

After slurping it down his throat, he allegedly lured the minor and succeeded in having hot sex bouts with her at the drinking bar. After the act, he allegedly warned her not to disclose it to anyone, or else she would die.

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ashanti Regional Police Command, Chief Inspector Mohammed Yusif Tanko confirmed the story in an interview but said the player was yet to be arrested.

A doctor's report, according to sources, confirmed that she girl had been defiled.

The PRO explained that even though the police requested Asante Kotoko FC management to hand in the player to assist the police in its investigations, Prince Boateng has not reported to the police.

He disclosed that police dispatched personnel to the player's residence to effect his arrest to assist in the investigations, but he could not be located.

According to Chief Inspector Tanko, the police have not relented in their efforts to bring the suspect to book.

According to the victim's mother, Adwoa Serwaa, she returned from hospital where she was admitted for some time and realized the victim's walking had changed.

She said upon questioning, the girl narrated her ordeal after which she reported the case to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service.

A few days ago, reports suggested that Prince Boateng will be leaving the shores of Ghana soon to begin trials with French side Olympique Marseille.

According to a letter of invitation, the player was expected to leave the country on Friday April 1, 2011 for the French city of Marseille.
