Kotoko Player Heads For China.

Former Asante Kotoko defender, Michael Ofori-Mensah, who left the club unceremoniously last November, is expected to engage in trials with Chinese club, Yatai.

Michael, left Kotoko even though he is still under contract without the club's concern earlier on was in England where nothing was heard about him.

Officials of Yatai, a local club side in the Chinese town of Kunming have for the past couple of weeks been in Accra to negotiate for the player's release to go on trials for a four-week period.

Still in the camp of Asante Kotoko, team captain, Godwin Ablordey has been awarded with $500 prize money for emerging as the clubs best player during last season. The clubs sponsors, Mobitel, a cellular phone service provider, gave the award.
