Kotoko Land Their 1 Billion Cedi Man

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have landed highly rated midfielder Yussif Chibsah after a protracted transfer negotiation with King Faisal. Kotoko did not pay Faisal the one billion cedis asking fee but still had to fork out 200 million cedis and two key players to get their man.

Chibsah has impressed in pre-season so far and Kotoko were so desperate to keep him, they paid 200 million plus Nana Frimpong and general captain Godwin Ablordey for his service.

The deal is thought to be the most expensive between two Ghanaian clubs after Hearts of Oak paid 50 million cedis to Great Olympics for Charles Taylor three years ago.
