Kotoko Grounded By Flight Problems

Kumasi Asante Kotoko?s departure to Egypt to engage Gazelle Al Mehalla in the 2nd leg of African Cup Winners Cup in Mehalla has been hit by flight problems.

The team is currently in Accra, but has not been able to arrange a flight to Cairo after arrangements with Alitalia and Egypt Air fell through because a return flight from Cairo to Italy could not be guaranteed and Egypt Air has been fully booked for the next two weeks.

The Kotoko team has been boosted with the return of Hamza Mohammed, Joe Hendricks and George Owu, the trio, who were in Uganda with the Black Stars.

Meanwhile Gazelle Al Mehalla has shifted the match date from Friday to Saturday but the venue stays unchanged and that will be at the Al Kobra Al Mehalla stadium.

Kotoko is likely to leave Accra on Wednesday or latest by Thursday.
