Kotoko: Ghanaian champions keen to extend contracts of quartet

Kotoko are eager to extend the contracts of four of their key players ahead of the start of the new season.

Rahim Ayew, Abeiku Ainooson, Richard Mpong and goalkeeper Isaac Amoako are nearing the expiration of their current deals.

The contracs of the four influential players will expire in the next six months with Kotoko keen to tie them to new deals ahead of their involvement in the CAF Champions League next year. Rahim, first son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele, has seen his one-year deal expire few days ago, but Kotoko are anxious to offer him a new two-year deal.

Ainooson, who joined from New Edubiase, is reportedly demanding Ghc60,000-a-year enticement fee from the Porcupines while Mpong and Amoako are in the last six months of their current deal.

The two players have expressed their readiness to renew their contracts.
