Kotoko After Tierro

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have initiated talks with Liberty Professionals over a possible extension of the contract of midfielder William Tierro.

The former Liberty Professionals player joined the Porcupine Warriors last year on a yearlong loan spell reportedly worth 250 million cedis.

Tierro whose current contract ends early next year, has been offered a two-year permanent contract by the Porcupine Warriors.

Though Tierro has experienced relatively minimal success in his stay with the Kumasi based club, he has expressed his desire to have the relationship with the Porcupine Warriors extended.

Tierro is currently in camp in Gomoa with the rest of the Asante Kotoko squad members in preparation for the January 2 Confederations Cup tie with Hearts of Oak.

Kotoko are expected to play Premier League side Power FC in a friendly match at the Cape Coast Stadium on Wednesday.
