Kojo Yankah elected Chairman of RFA

Essipong, (W/R) Aug. 2, GNA - Mr Kojo Yankah, a Takoradi based businessman, was on Tuesday elected as Chairman of the Western Regional Football Association (RFA).

He polled 135 votes to beat two other businessmen, Alhaji Fuseini Mahama and Mr Kwabena Asante who had 85 and 10 votes respectively.

Mr Yankah after the election, which was supervised by the Electoral Commission (EC), pledged his commitment to the development of football in the Region.

He said he would focus on the development of all levels of football from the clubs level as well as management.

Earlier, Mr Lee Yankey, the outgoing Chairman of the RFA advised young footballers and sportsmen to stay away from homosexuality and drugs usage.
