Berekum Chelsea’s in form striker, Kofi Owusu, has attributed his prolific goal scoring form to the generosity of his team mates.

The leading marksman for Solomon Odwo’s men has commended the philanthropic nature of his colleagues and the unique leadership shown by Stephen Asare Baffour on the pitch.

Kofi Owusu has had an amazing season in the Ghana Premier League this year with an impressive 15 goals that included a belter against Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.

According to him, “My goal scoring form is due to my team mates. They have been instrumental for my form of late and the goals I score. The entire team should take the credit for the goals because it is a team sport. When they play very good and I put myself in the right position, then I always know I will score.

“My pairing with Stephen has produced as many goals as possible; thanks to the understanding we have on the field of play. When I am playing with him (Stephen Asare Baffour), he knows when to pass and how to pass the ball to me. He is a very talented footballer and makes my work easier as a striker”.

The red hot center forward then used the platform to calm nerves on his proposed move to Kotoko.

“It is rumored that I am going to Kotoko, but I want to assure followers of Berekum Chelsea to neglect the concocted rumours. I am currently in the books of Berekum Chelsea and fully respect the details of the contract.”
