Kofi Nti Boakye undergoing physiotherapy at KATH

Asante Kotoko’s striker Kofi Nti Boakye is undergoing physiotherapy sessions at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) to enhance his recovery following a recent motor accident on the Kumasi-Accra highway.

Boakye was rushed to the KATH early Saturday, after a motor accident on the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Junction in Kumasi.

Dr. Kwaku Boateng, Director in-charge of the Medical Unit at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and Team Doctor for Kotoko, told GNA Sports the player’s decision to wear seat belt saved his blushes.

Boakye, who escaped the near fatal accident with no physical injuries, has so far undergone a radiological scan of the brain and chest and clinical evaluation.

Dr Boateng said the player was responding to treatment and expected to join his colleagues at training soon.
