Knockout match between Lions and Kotoko re-scheduled

Kpando, (V/R) May 19, GNA - The Onetouch/Premier League Board (PLB) Special Knockout match between Kpando Heart of Lions and Kumasi Asante Kotoko, which was rained-off on Thursday has been re-scheduled to Friday at the Kpando sports stadium.

Barely three minutes when referee W. Quaye started the hostilities between the two sides, the rains set in and just after 30 minutes the referee was compelled to whistled for the end of the match as visibility became poor while the field of play became soggy and slippery to allow play to continue.

It was Kotoko who kicked off first and made an early incursion into the Lions area but Amofah's attempt at goal in the first minute sailed over the bar.

Lions from then took the game to their opponents and pinned them in their half, which yielded dividend in the 11th minute when Stephen Owusu beat Nii Baah in goal Kotoko but the attempt was ruled off-side. The homesters continued with their attack until referee Quaye brought the game to end after consulting with captains of both teams. 19 May 06.
