Kintampo Sharp Arrows fails to appear for FA match

Sunyani (B/A) Feb. 1, GNA - Kintampo Sharp Arrows, a First Division football club in the Brong-Ahafo Region failed to report for their maiden 2011/2012 MTN Football Association (FA) Cup championship match against Premier League Club Accra Hearts of Oak at Sunyani Coronation Park on Monday.

The appointed referees, led by J. K. Manu of Kumasi, officials and the playing body of Hearts turned up at the Coronation Park for the necessary inspection and other pre-match formalities around 1100 hours that day but conspicuously absent was the Kintampo team.

In an interview with GNA Sports in Sunyani on Tuesday, Mr. Augustine Asante, Chairman of the Brong-Ahafo Regional Football Association, (BARFA) explained that as at Friday January 27, he knew both teams had agreed in principle to honour the match.
