King Faisal place injunction on Ghana FA Congress

Relegated King Faisal Babies have placed an interlocutory injunction on plans by the Ghana Football Association to hold its Congress scheduled for Friday. The Kumasi-based club secured the injunction at the Human Rights Unit of the Accra High Fast Track Court on Thursday afternoon.

The court is restraining the Football Association from holding its congress to kick-start the season, until a case involving the club and Aduana Stars has been conclusively dealt with.

“Yes we have served the FA with the injunction and that is what we have done. We want to exhaust all the legal processes in Ghana Football as far as this case is concerned and ensure that justice is deservedly served before the new season would commence,” Faisal’s Administrative Manager Nana Amankwaah Kwakye confirmed this to Dunkwa-based Solar FM.

Sources say at the time the injunction was served to the Ghana FA secretariat, the Executive Committee was in a meeting discussing the Congress billed for today.

King Faisal have been embroiled in a legal tussle with Aduana Stars over the latter’s legibility to play in the 2014/15 season for months.
