Kessben donate $1,000 to Wa All Stars

Ghana Premier League campaigners Kessben FC have donated US$1,000 to rivals Wa All Stars following an armed robbery attack.

The Wa-based team was attacked on Tuesday on its way to Accra to play Hearts in a league match.

The team bus of the Blues came under attack on the Techiman highway in the Brong Ahafo region at about 2:00am when the robbers pounced, leaving several players and officials injured.

Randy Abbey, CEO of Kessben, donated the money to Wa All Stars on Tuesday night to help them with their medical costs.

"We felt very bad when we heard of the news and wanted to find out a way of helping our rivals," Randy Abbey told Ghanasoccernet.

"Even though the amount is not much it can add in helping in the medical costs after the savage attack.

"We are all in this Premiership game together and if there is pain for one club it is also our pain."

The Professional League Borad has postponed Wa All Stars' Wednesday clash against Hearts.

It will be played next week.
