Hearts of Oak coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has accepted responsibility for the team’s shock 3-1 home defeat to Wa All Stars on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians have lost their unbeaten record to the season and also dislodged from the summit of the table.

Wa All Stars raced into a two-goal lead at half-time but substitute Musah Ibrahim pulled one back before Emmanuel Ocran sealed victory with the third goal.

Yatsuhashi, who was returning to the team after missing last week MTN FA Cup win due to illness, took full responsibility for the team’s disappointing performance.

"It was my fault that we did not win the game; however, we will go back to our training and will work hard again,” the Japanese trainer posted on his official Twitter account.

"I did not think we would go through the season without losing any games. This game was good for us to learn and to improve from.

"We never say die."

Hearts of Oak will next travel to Techiman City FC before hosting WAFA SC.
