Juventus can win Serie A, Champions League - Asamoah

Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah believes Juventus can win the Scudetto as well as the Uefa Champions League this season.

The Bianconeri are leading the Serie A with 22 points, three ahead of second-placed Roma whilst they are third behind Atletico Madrid and Olympiacos Piraeus in the Champions League, but Asamoah is optimistic the Turin club will win both titles.

“All opponents we are facing this season are formidable teams with compact defense. In the Serie A many things can happen, but it all depends on us in the end,” Asamoah told Juve News.

“We know that we can win both the league and Champions League, but we have to change our attitude. In the Champions League we face strong teams: from the 1st minute we have to be aware of our strengths and grow. We have lost some of the rhythm, now we have to take it back right away.”

Asamoah, who was a first-choice under Antonio Conte, is now sharing his left wing back position with veteran Patrice Evra as manager Massimiliano Allegri uses them on shift basis.

PSG, Everton, Arsenal and Southampton have all made enquiries about the availability of the Ghanaian.
