Jones’ Sacking Held Up.

The expected sacking of Black Stars head coach, Cecil Jones Attuquayefio from his post has been held up to next week, with the reason according to close sources being that Jones is preparing Hearts of Oak for their title defence and any move could derail his attention for Sundays match.

Though the FA’s vice chairman, E.A. Owusu Ansah declined to comment further, the protocol officer of the FA confirmed that next week Wednesday would be the day for the media briefing by the FA about the technical direction of the team.

Credible sources to Joyonline has indicated that some sought of compromise would be reached with Jones so as to give him the outright sack to bring his reputation and credibility at stake but he would be advised to handle Hearts of Oak since he cannot handle two teams at the same time thus the Black Stars and Hearts of Oak.

On Hearts of Oak, their counterparts, Etoile Du Congo arrived yesterday with a 27-man contingent and are expected to leave this morning by road to Kumasi for the game on Sunday.
