John Antwi scores in Al Shabab FC away loss to Al Raed

Ghana striker John Antwi scored a late consolation goal for Al Shabab FC as he and fellow Ghanaian, Mohammed Awal, lasted full 90 minutes on the pitch in their 3-1 defeat to 9-man Al Raed, in a Saudi Pro League game at the Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Stadium on Saturday.

The 22-year-old Antwi expertly converted a penalty in the 84th-minute to salvage some pride for Al Shabab FC after Coach Abdel Abdulrahman’s side that had gone down to two first half goals from Amjad Radhi and Hassan Tir, and a second half strike from Fahad Al Johani.

The ex-Dreams FC attacker has now bagged three goals in eight league appearances for Al Shabab FC after joining the Riyadh-based club from Ismaily SC half-way through the season during the January transfer window.

Al Shabab FC finished the game with 10-men after defensive midfielder Ahmed Ateef was sent off in the 86th-minute by referee Fahad Al Oraini for two bookable offences while Al Raed lost Anas Bani Yassen and Meshal Al Ezani got red cards in the dying embers of the game.
