Joetex enters history books with Enyimba

. Win Coca-Cola FA Cup in Nigeria

Ghanaian international, Joetex Frimpong, last Saturday entered the history books when he won the Coca-Cola FA Cup (Nigeria's version of the FA Cup), in Nigeria.

The Ghanaian, who was exempted from the Black Stars international friendly against Saudi-Arabia helped his club to win the Nigerian double after a 7-6 victory over rivals, Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi in the final match played at the Liberation Stadium, Port-Harcourt.

Although, the Ghanaian talisman put up a good fight on match day, his eforts were not enough to find the back of the net.He was eventually substituted by the Enyimba bench in the second half.

... voted Most Valuable Player

Aside from helping his club to win the Coca-Cola FA Cup, the Ghanaian was also voted Most Valuble Player of the competition.

Reacting to his award, he said: "I am extremely glad that the MVP Award came my way. This is an award I would cherish because it is the first individual honour for me. I just don't how to tell you how I feel.

"This has made me really happy because there was nothing to show when I was joint-leading scorer in 2002.However, this is different because of Coca-Cola has made several trophies available."
