Ex-Ghana defender Joe Addo has picked up a nomination form to contest as chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association.

The Hearts of Oak Corporate Affairs Manager remains confident of improving the image of the umbrella body for clubs in the country.

He faces stiff competition from incumbent Alhaji Raji, Nana Oduro Sarfo, Kofi Poku and Kudjoe Fianoo who have expressed interest in contesting.

Addo confirmed his decision on Asempa FM’s Sports Nite show.

"I know it is a big surprise to many people that I have picked up this nomination form to be a member of GHALCA,'' he said.

"You and I know that we Africans know how to talk but always fail to implement the ideas that will help to improve affairs.

"I know being on top is a very difficult task but as I have already, I am ready to start from the top and nothing will stop me because I am ready to help redeem the tarnished image of GHALCA."
