Jerome Otchere joins Kotoko’s PR team

Footy-ghana.com can exclusively confirm that Asante Kotoko Express reporter Jerome Otchere has been appointed as a member of the club’s communication team.

According to sources, Otchere, who will represent the club’s mouthpiece (Kotoko Express newspaper) on the seven-member team, was contacted by new Communications Chief Dr. Ernest Opoku on Tuesday and accepted the appointment.

Otchere, who has worked with the Asante Kotoko Express for the last eight years, told footy-ghana.com that the appointment was an extension of what he and his colleagues have been doing for the club over the years, adding that he is honoured to accept the role.

“As a reporter for Asante Kotoko Express, we have also been doing our bit as far as communications and public relations for the club is concerned.

"So to me, this appointment simply affords me the opportunity of doing what I have been doing over the last eight years, even if now the work load is increasing. So I am happy and honoured to accept this role,” he added.

Footy-ghana.com understands that Otchere will be joined on the communications team by Deputy Accra representative of the club Nana Kwame Dankwa and Maame Yaa Adusei (daughter of former Kotoko board chairman E.K. Adusei) representing the Greater Accra region.

Other members of the newly formed communications team are Nana Godbless and Nana Akwasi Gyambibi representing the Ashanti Region and Richmond Yeboah representing the Central region.

The representatives for the Western and Brong Ahafo regions are yet to be confirmed.
