JE Sarpong tips Appiah to shine at Al Khartoum

Ebusua Dwarfs trainer J.E Sarpong is backing Kwesi Appiah to get his coaching career back in Sudan after a disastrous end to his tenure as Black Stars coach.

Appiah will open a new chapter after accepting to lead Sudanese giant Al Khartoum SC.

Sarpong said: “I am very confident that Kwesi will do well where ever he goes.

“He is a good guy and has a lot of experience even in his short coaching career. “I will keep an eye on how he does in Sudan but my well wishes are with him.”

Appiah made history by becoming the first indigenous coach to qualify the Black Stars to a FIFA World Cup finals and led the team in Brazil.

Ghana could not go beyond the Group stage and months after the tournament had ended he was sacked.
