J.E. Sarpong sacked by Liberty Professionals

Footy-ghana.com can confirm that the head coach of Liberty Professionals, Joseph Emmanuel Sarpong, has been relieved of his duties by the club.

According to our investigations, no official reasons have been assigned for the decision to fire the former assistant coach of the Black Meteors.

Under Sarpong’s tutelage, Liberty Professionals finished 8th at the end of last season and made it to the round of 16 in the MTN FA Cup.

It is unclear at the moment who will succeed Sarpong, but footy-ghana.com checks reveal that the club’s Technical Director Sellas Tetteh might step into the breach.

Sarpong is currently attending the CAF License A course for coaches at the Prampram Soccer Centre of Excellence.
