...Kotoko To Pay $45,000 For Charles Taylor
Embattled striker, Charles Taylor is now free to join Kumasi Asante Kotoko. This follows a decision by an arbitration committee set up by the Ghana Football Association to resolve the long-standing impasse Thursday night that the player be transferred for a fee of ?400m ($45,000).

The committee headed by a former attorney general, Mr Anthony Forson, also decided that Hearts would be entitled to 40% of the money realized from any onward transfer of the player by Asante Kotoko.

Mr Bram Larbi represented Hearts while Ace Ankomah, a legal practitioner represented Kotoko. The third member was of neutral standing.

The meeting is said to have been devoid of heated arguments with both parties realizing the need to end the tortuous issue once and for all.

The new transfer fee brings to almost ?1.3b the total amount of money spent by Asante Kotoko to secure the services of Charles Taylor.

Kotoko can only get the player’s card A from Hearts after paying the ?400m ($45,000) in full.

The decision settles the four-month dispute over the transfer of Charles Taylor.
