Ghanaian defender Isaac Donkoh wants to excel at Italian second-tier side Unione Sportiva Avellino.

Donkoh, 20, joined the second-tier side on a season-long loan from Inter Milan last month.

The Ghanaian endured a difficult spell on loan at Bari last term but is expecting a different scenario this time around.

"I've been well received in this group. I'm really happy as we've been working hard for each other as well," is quoted by TuttoAvellino.it

"The coach is trying me at a different position but I can play in either defence or central midfield position. I'll do my best to help the club as we're in a difficult moment in terms of form,"

"It takes a lot of sacrifice in the running to get things back on track, but we hope to turn things around very soon,"

" I was warmly welcomed in Bari last season as the start of the journey was in good shape, but then my season was marred by an up and down performances. So, hopefully I will like to have a very good season with Avellino this time round," he said.
