Intercessory prayers for Black Stars coach

Fervent prayers have been said for the success of Black Stars Coach Akwasi Appiah at the ongoing AFCON 2013.

The spiritual event was held at the Winning Ways Church at Patase, Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital.

The prayer session, which lasted several hours, was organized by the Akwasi Appiah Fun Club in Kuamsi.President of Akwasi Appiah Fun Club, Kwame Adinkra said prayers were crucial to the success of every adventure on earth.

He acknowledged the fact that the Ghana team was strong physically “and we want to support them in the spiritual realm”. During the intercessory prayer session the players of the Black Stars were also prayed for.

The Akwasi Appiah Fun Club joined the huge congregation of Winning Ways Church in the spiritual affair. Adinkra, who is an ace broadcast journalist, said prayers were also said for God’s protection for the Ghana players so that they would not get injured.

According to him, his group also prayed that Ghana’s trophy drought which has lasted three decades, would be broken this time in South Africa.
