Injured Ayew could miss Ajaccio - Marseille game

Ghana international Andre Ayew could miss this weekend’s French Ligue 1 game through injury when Marseille take on Ajaccio.

The 23-year-old midfielder had to leave the pitch in Cairo in the 63rd minute when Ghana lost 2-1 to Egypt on Tuesday in the second-leg World Cup play-off.

The injury seems to be severe and fears have already gripped the Marseille faithful that their star player will be on the sidelines for some weeks.

Neither the Ghana FA nor his club has come out yet on the extent of the damage.
