Independence Day Matches

Newly crowned African champions, Accra Hearts of Oak will grace Ghana’s 44th Independence Anniversary celebrations when they take part in a special four-team tourney to be staged at the Accra and Kumasi stadia.

Organised by the GFA and the National Celebrations Planning Committee, the Phobians will join three other premier sides, Goldfields, Asante Kotoko and Okwawu United in a competition to herald the Independence Day.

The first round matches start this Sunday in Accra and Kumasi with the continental champions hosting Goldfields, while Kotoko play Okwawu United in Kumasi.

The losers from both matches will then pitch their strength against each other next Sunday, March 4, at the Accra Stadium while the winners do battle against each other at the Kumasi Stadium the same day.
