Include Sunyani stadium for CAN 2008

Sunyani (B/A), Aug. 5, GNA- Mr. Justice Samuel Adjei, an aspiring NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Sunyani East has appealed to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to include Sunyani stadium for the CAN 2008 African Cup of Nations.

A statement issued in Sunyani on Wednesday, and signed by Mr Adjei said Brong-Ahafo is on record to have produced many talented footballers, boxers and athletes.

Mr. Adjei said a site had been acquired for a standard Olympic stadium in Sunyani and it would be better to include Brong Ahafo for the continental competition.

The statement said Sunyani now has a lot of good hotels and two premier division clubs, B/A. United and Tano Bofoakwa.
