Inadequate information is our worry - Tetteh

Coach Silas Tetteh, head coach of the National Under-17, the Black Starlets on Monday said lack information on their Kenyan opponents, who they will meet in two weeks time, is the only problem confronting his team.

Speaking to the GNA Sports in interview, coach Tetteh said they have little information on their opponents and there are no video clips on them to help his technical team in its preparations.

According to coach Tetteh, the only information they have on their opponents is their physique as well as the hash weather conditions prevailing in Kenya. He said in spite of all these, his boys are capable of surmounting the task ahead since they have prepared well for the qualifiers.

The Coach said preparations of the team have been quite good because the team has performed creditably in all the friendly matches played so far.

He said, the team has so far scored an average goal of four in each match and this shows that the attack has a bite and indicated that more friendly matches would be organized for the team before they face the Kenyans and expressed the hope of the team's qualification to the Africa Under-17 tournament to be staged in Swaziland next year.

The Starlets are scheduled to play Kenya in the first leg of the qualifiers for the Africa Under-17 Tournament on December 21. The return leg would come up on January 11 2003 in Ghana.
