Impilo Ghana FC outclass Adumasa ABN

By George Osei

Impilo Ghana FC continued with their preparations for the Eastern region division two league with a commanding 3 – 1 victory over Adumasa ABN FC in a friendly game played at the Madina Aviation Park on Wednesday.

The fast improving Impilo Ghana FC side, were in full control of this game and could have won by a bigger margin than what was recorded after 90 minutes of action.

They led 1 – 0 at half time after taking command of the first session with some good play in the middle of the park with the likes of Prince Derrick Osei, Sumaila Quaye, Suraj Rayies and Fred Barbington in good form.

After missing some early chances, it was Osei who got unto the end of a good move from the left before setting up Donaldson Tender to open the scoring inside the opening 10 minutes.

This increased the confidence of the boys and they should have doubled the tally 10 minutes later after being awarded a penalty when the influential Osei was brought down in the opposition 18 yard box.

Up stepped Goalkeeper Bombey to take the kick, but his effort was saved by his opposite number Emmanuel alias Kwarasey to keep his side in the game.

Adumasa ABN FC stepped up their effort in the second half, but the opposition was up to it and it was little surprise when they increased the tally through Sumaila Quaye whose 22 yards power drive beat they out of position Kwarasey in post for the Madina based division three side.

Substitute Kabiru Alhassan converted another penalty awarded when a hard pressed defender handled a cross from Fadel Salifu to make it 3 – 0 with a quarter of the game to play.

Some loose marking on the part of the Impilo Ghana team, allowed Kwabena Gadri (Apapa) to get a consolation for the home side who lead their session of the zonal Greater Accra 3rd division league after three games.

They have seven points after winning two and drawing one of their three games and have the chance to keep that good run going when they play their next game this Sunday.
