I’ve never benefited from coaching - Herbert Addo

Veteran Ghanaian tactician, Herbert Addo, is claiming he has never made gains in the coaching profession and might retire by the close of 2015.

The experienced tactician’s decision is as a result of huge financial debts owed him by some Ghanaian clubs he had worked with in the past.

“One thing I don’t like is working without being paid," the man on the touchline told Starr Sports.

"I have three set of groups who owe me which could have built me a big mansion and a nice comfortable car but still at this age I am still struggling. Before the end of this year, I will take my decision,” Addo added.

“I should have retired long ago because there is so much discouragement for coaches in this country and I have been through so many sad moments that I feel like just quitting but I feel I can give a lot to coaches,” he added.

Addo has coached several clubs in Ghana including giants Kotoko, Hearts, Ashantigold and currently in charge of Inter Allies.

The 64-year-old started coaching in the early 1960s.
