I’m still awaiting Black Stars call-up – Adu Kofi

Ghana midfielder Enoch Adu Kofi says he is still awaiting a call-up from Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu to make his debut for the senior national team.

Adu Kofi is not part of Konadu’s 23-man squad for the Black Stars’ next assignment in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea on October 10 and 15.

Adu Kofi’s ex-Liberty Professionals team-mate Kwadwo Asamoah, recently expressed shock at the reluctance of the Black Stars technical team to invite the 24-year-old to the senior national team.

“As long as I am a Ghanaian I am looking forward to that (a call-up to the Black Stars).”

“Like Kwadwo is saying, it’s taken too long and I have been expecting them but I have not got the chance, so I hope they will call me to come and help my nation. Most of the boys are my colleagues Rabiu, Dede, Kwadwo,” Adu Kofi told Accra based Starr 103.5fm.

The former Nordsjellaend and Stabaek player has held down a regular spot in the Malmo FF set-up, earning him 11 appearances in the Swedish top flight and 6 Uefa Champions League appearances.
