"I just want to leave Ghan" -Kuffour

Accra Hearts of Oak and Black Stars unsettle striker Emmanuel Osei Kufour has denied reports that he has signed a new two year deal with the defending league champions.

He admitted meeting the board chairman of Hearts of Oak Mr. Ato Ahowi last week but said no concrete arrangement was concluded, as Hearts proposal of the player earning additional 15 % of any possible transfer outside Ghana was not good.

“I just want to leave Ghana and play anywhere,” he told a radio station, “I must tell you I am going to play in the U.S. major league definitely.”

Osei Kuffour emerged as the top soccer in the 2000 Champion’s league with ten goals, which Hearts won, has gone on trials with a number of foreign teams including former European giants Benfica.

‘Hearts News’ the official newspaper of Hearts of Oak last week reported that Osei Kuffour has agreed to a new two-year deal with the defending league champions.

The player who recently had trials with a Chinese first division side has refused to play for Hearts since the latter part of last season
