Ghana Football Association (GFA) boss Kwasi Nyantakyi has displayed a shocking level of incompetence by revealing that he does not know what went wrong SEVEN DAYS after the country was excluded from the newly introduced Africa Nations Championships.

Nyantakyi let fly another humiliating bombshell by admitting that the GFA DID NOT ENTER GHANA for the competition which is meant to unearth local talents for the main Black Stars.

The new tournament is a continental showcase like the Africa Cup of Nations, the difference being that only local-based players are eligible, providing local clubs and players the chance to showcase their talents to the world.

Nyantakyi's appalling revelation has sparked angry reaction across the nation, with leading football investors in the country including Alhaji Grunsah calling for his immediate resignation.

Despite calls for heads to roll, the GFA boss is adamant on a belated attempt to find out what went wrong.

"I don't know what went wrong. We will meet soon to investigate the matter to find out whether Caf sent us a letter to enter the tournament or not," Nyantakyi said.

"If we find out that Caf did not invite us to participate in the tournament, then we will ask them to rectify it immediately.

"If Caf wrote a letter and someone at the GFA decided not to act upon it then we will decide on which line of action to take.

"Because we did not get or see the letter inviting us for the tournament we could not have entered it."

However, Grunsah, the owner of Premiership side King Faisal, says Nyantakyi's inability to get to the bottom of the issue after one week shows that he is not fit for the post.

"It has been seven days since this was revealed and if we have responsible and competent people leading the GFA we should have found out what went wrong by now," Grunsah told Ghanasoccernet.

"Clearly Nyantakyi and his crew don't care about the most important things for Ghana football so they must leave the place immediately for competent people to take over.

"So has Nyantakyi been sleeping peacefully since this news came out?

"Doesn't he even think that if Caf did not send a letter, which I doubt, they should have followed up to ask because there are people at the GFA who have been employed to do the job?

"They failed to submit lists for Hearts and Kotoko to Caf therefore there is someone clearly not doing his job and the leader of the pack is Nyantakyi and he must take full responsibility.

"Nyantakyi must look at all these young players in the country hoping to play in this tournament and hang his head in shame because he has failed them and failed the country."
