I bribe Ghana referees - Alhaji Grunsah

King Faisal owner Alhaji Karim Grunsah is alleging that every football administrator in Ghana pay bribe or has paid bribe before to referees which has led to the collapse of the domestic game.

The veteran administrator openly admitted the rot in Ghana football before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry set up to find the reasons behind Ghana's abysmal performance at the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.

“Walaahi [I swear] my Lord, I pay bribe [to referees during games] and every football administrator in the country also do the same thing,” Grunsah revealed to the Commission Wednesday.

“If anyone insists I'm wrong, he should come and swear an oath and refute my claims. I'm part of the good people as well as the bad people destroying the country’s football,” he admitted.

Alhaji Grunsah is fighting a legal battle with the Ghana FA over his team’s relegation and that has delayed the commencement of the top-flight league. He is expected to meet the GFA in court on October 16.

The Ghana Premier League was scheduled to kick off on September 21, 2014.
