Former Ghana striker Mathew Amoah says he’s ‘too old’ to return to the Black Stars.

The 34-year-old who plays for Dutch second-tier side FC Eindhoven, has ruled himself out of a potential return to the national team.

The former Borrussia Dortmund and NAC Breda attacker has revealed he’s past his prime to represent the West Africans at the international level.

“Oh come on! I am too old to play for the Black Stars. I am done with the national team,” he said.

“We should also give opportunities to other young players to come through the ranks.

“I have done my part and others should also step up and continue from where we left off.”

Amoah was capped 43 times by Ghana and scored 13 goals.
