I Can Manage Black Stars With Ease -coach Addo

Managing the Blacks is the easiest coaching job, 2009/2010 Premier League winning coach Herbert Addo has said.

The outgoing Aduana coach noted that the massive support from all quarters makes handling the senior national soccer side, the Black Stars easy. "It is not difficult to handle the Black Stars because of the great support the coach receives from all corridors.

"The coach only has to be focused, and make sure he does the right selection of players who can give him the needed results.

Giving a practical example, coach Addo having coached the Black Stars in the 80's revealed that: "Most of the players ply their trade on foreign soils and having completed their pre season trials, they are well conditioned to give their best shot when the Stars gather for the next Nations Cup qualifier."

Coach Addo came under severe attack when he failed woefully to impress in the second edition of the CHAN tourney hosted by Sudan. But in his response to how ready he was to handle the Stars on Happy FM, he mentioned that: "It's unfortunate people don't keep proper records in this country, they have forgotten that great players like Abedi Pele, Tony Yeboah and others have passed through my hands.

To the former Hearts/Kotoko coach, such people are of the view that the Essiens and Muntaris are too big to be managed.

"They have forgotten that great players like Abedi and Yeboah were once players I handled, when you talk technical matters, money is nothing." He added.

Coach Addo was shortlisted for the Stars coaching job alongside Marcel Desailly and current Stars Serbian manager Goran Stevanovic but failed to make the mark. He has, however thrown the challenge that should he get the opportunity to handle a lower division side, he would prove a point by qualifying them for the elite league to make a strong case that in coaching, one has to be artistic, stylish with strong character
