High flying Maxwell Baako shares glory with team mates

Wa All Stars forward Maxwell Baako has acknowledged the immense contribution of his team mates for his improved performances on the domestic scene after scoring a brace at home to Sekondi Hasaacas, last Sunday.

The 18-year-old skillful attacker earned himself an MVP in the opening match of the season after a monstrous performance against a clueless Hasaacas at the Wa Park on Sunday.

The teen sensation, however, lowered expectations despite his swashbuckling performances for the Northern blues as he looks to announce his arrival on the local scene.

Maxwell Baako ushered in the season at the Malik Jabir park with a goal direct from the corner before later doubling his tally with a sumptuous finish to finish off the visitors.

The former Aswin playmaker, however, refused to keep hold of his strong start but shared the glory with his team for their immense role on his development and strong form in recent times.

“I am not an individual player and will like to acknowledge the strong support given to me by the entire team even when I was not playing too well.

“I cannot guarantee goals on a weekly basis but will surely add to my goal tally in the coming days. I just want to enjoy my football, stay injury free and see where I will end up at the end of the season.” Maxwell told sports crusader.

The 18-year-old sits atop of the goal scorers chart with his brace in the opening matches across the country.
