Herbert Secures Abu Zeid For Faisal

The Herbert Mensah magic has once again succeeded in luring one of Ghana's most disciplined and hard working defenders, Abu Zeid into relaunching his soccer career with the Insha Allah boys,King Faisals FC. The gritty defender, who was on the verge of signing a fresh contract with a fabulously rich Club in Brunei, DPMM FC, a Club owned by the Prince of Brunei(son of the Sultan of Brunei) has already started training with King Faisals, and has so far impressed the Club's German Coach Ralf Zumdick.

Speaking in an interview,Abu said his decision to relauch his career in Ghana does not only stem from his admiration for Mr. Herbert Mensah, the President of King Faisals, but also considering a lot of advise from the likes of Coach Afranie, his agent Kasey Duku a UK-based FIFA Agent and his local partner Mr. Ransford Antwi, who also double as the player's personal Manager, who all think that his talent is being wasted in the Arab land. He further hinted that he has his eyes in Europe and would be using his stint with King Faisals as a stepping stone.

Abu Zeid who once played for Kumasi Asante Kotoko and the darling boy of Italian Guiseppe Dossena, one time Coach of Ghana's Black Stars and Olympic Team has been featuring in the Kuwaiti league since 1997,where he won the best defender award on three occasions, but has never had the chance to play for senior National teams. He therefore believes that his decision to relaunch his career in Ghana would offer National Team selectors the opportunity to assess him better.
