Hearts win centenary Cup

Last Sunday, Champion club, Accra Hearts of Oak, and city rivals Great Olympics engaged in a local derby at the Accra Stadium to decide winners in this year?s edition of the annual King Tackie-Tawiah Cup.

The clash no doubt kept both players and fans of the two teams busy in Accra despite the break in the Premier League.

Interestingly, Hearts once again struggled to keep their record for the season intact by beating Olympics 1-0 to lift the centenary trophy. Substitute Wisdom Abbey gave Hearts the match winner after hectic exchanges in the 87th minute.

Before the goal, the two teams treated spectators to some exciting and crafty skills, with Olympics? duminutive striker, Joe Tagoe, emerging the most thrilling star of the afternoon, as he made light work of the Hearts defence.

As usual, Graphic Sports brings you exciting scenes of the decisive encounter between the two treaditional rivals.
